One of our main activities wich takes most of our time in our daily routine and also gives us the most lovely moments, is at the primary school, KDAP Nea Moudania where we work with kids around 5 - 10 years old, creating and participating in activities such as crafts and drawings, theatrical performances, music lessons and many outdoor games.
We were also involved designing and painting a big flag with the flags of many countries in it, a big heart with the handprints of all the children and a hand-made earth globe wich were used to decorate the background in a festival where the kids took part singing and acting.

Anti-Stress Toys
One of the activities we made in the school consisted in the construction of some anti-stress toys made out of balloons filled with sand.
With the help of Argiri (active member of KDAP) we were able to give it a little twist and make them more interesting for the children, adding hair, eyes and other features to make the toys more lively and fun to play with.
Giant soap bubble making
During a week we tried and developed a soap bubble solution and a tool to make giant bubbles with the Kids.
Although we took the initiative to do so, it was them who ended up mastering the technique to make the bubbles without popping them up in the end.
It was a messy activity, with lots of water and soap spread all around the playground, but nevertheless, the kids had fun and realized the variety of tools they could use to make bubbles.
Christmas Hat Ornaments
Bubbles
With Christmas right around the corner, it came up this idea to make some christmas ornaments. Something simple and which didn't require many materials. Although this craft had been done already by some kids on previous years, it had a good impact on those who had never done it before.
Introduction to Juggling
On a regular basis I bring these juggling balls to the school. Personally I allways had the intuit to teach them some basics of juggling, though without making it an obvious lesson. Kids eventually got interested by the activity and asked to show them some "tricks".
Game building - TicTacToe
With the arrival of cold weather and heavy rain its allways good to have a back up for some indoor activities. Here, together with the kids, we built our own personalized tic-tac-toe game, with frogs, ladybugs and bees inserted into a simple lake scenarium. Using only cardboard, paint and some rocks for making the small creatures.
Charcoal Technique
Sometimes the best things are found in the most mundane situations. While strolling the beach I found some self over burnt wood from some fires done at the beach by people during night. I decided to save this pieces of charcoal and bring them to the school. Here I tried to teach the kids diferrent ways of working with the material and how to do shades and gradients in order to acomplish a 3D look in their drawing.
